We sell food items, with barcodes already printed but are being forced to label everything.
Does anyone know a way round this or of any machinery that can bag and print the barcode on the bag quickly?

There is a huge choice of different printing, packaging and labelling equipment that may be suitable and the costs and capabilities vary widely. Your question is too vague as we have no idea of what your packaging looks like and how your products are packed.
I suggest you contact your packaging supplier and ask them.
If fully automated, in other words, the bags are formed by machine at the same time as they are being filled, the supplier of the machinery will be able to advise on suitable equipment, such as Markem inline printers.
My guess is that you are purchasing the bags already formed and are filling the bags by hand and you have lots of different types of coffee and different barcodes. In that case, in my experience, you will struggle to find equipment to print barcodes to a sufficiently high standard. Saying that, it might be possible to get a Markem printer (or other brand) that will work with your empty bags before they are filled. There are thermal transfer printers and you may even be able to use an ink-jet printer but the ink might smudge. Markem are not the cheapest but they have been around a long time.
Do you only sell on Amazon? If so, you can print the FNSKU barcodes on the bags instead of the EAN barcodes.
If you sell outside Amazon, you need to find suitable labels that do stick to the bags and overlabel the EAN barcodes. Your label supplier can advise. There is a huge choice of different adhesives for labels for different materials to stick them on, different temperatures etc. Overlabelling can be done automatically if you have a decent quantity of bags to do per run.
I strongly advise you to contact your bag supplier for advice.
