Amazon Ad Console Automatically Changing Campaign Bidding Strategy on New Campaigns

Amazon EU Unified Account (cursory look at Amazon NA seemed fine) Check your Campaign Bidding Strategy on all your campaigns created within the last few weeks to make sure your Campaign Bidding Strategy hasn’t been changed to ‘Dynamic bids - up and down’. I created new SP campaigns manually via Amazon Ad Console and the Campaign Bidding Strategy selected was ‘Dynamic bids - down only’. Because I created a lot of campaigns in one day, I noticed that they all had their bidding strategies changed to ‘Dynamic bids - up and down’. I will have to go back to my campaigns but believe that my performance and spend on my campaigns were adversely effected by this deeply troubling action.

I do recall that Amazon would have ‘Dynamic bids - up and down’ selected as the default at some point earlier this year, but you just had to remember to change it before you saved the new campaign. This time they are completely disregarding the selection. Just another day in paradise. As you were…
